Music and art are a critical part of the First Plymouth experience. The Arts at Plymouth Committee is committed to bringing meaningful visual art exhibits and moving musical performance to our church for your enjoyment.
Arts at Plymouth fosters the arts as an expression of the spiritual life of the church. We support music, visual arts, literature, drama, poetry, and dance so that we as a congregation may appreciate the creative potential in everyone and be open to the wider world. The arts enhance communication, understanding of differences, and participation in the enriching cycle of giving and receiving.
Arts at Plymouth holds a concert series every year, usually featuring a variety of talented local musicians, plus our own Chancel Choir concerts held in December and April. On the visual arts side, we exhibit the work of a variety of artists in the Narthex, and often hold opening night wine and cheese receptions for our featured artists. Arts at Plymouth also oversees First Plymouth’s impressive collection of paintings, ceramics, and textile art. For more information about Arts at Plymouth, please contact Joel Rinsema.
