The subject of our program is Artificial Intelligence. The first TED talk we will discuss is with Sebastian Thrum, developer of Stanford’s AI lab, who speaks about the progress of deep learning and how society benefits when tedious work is done with AI. Our second discussion will follow Carole Cadwalladr’s TED talk. A Pulitzer Prize winning investigative journalist, Carole speaks about how politics has become technology as she explores ways the harvesting of our data feeds AI in order to enable platforms to amass unprecedented geopolitical power.
